Watch The PREACHER Pilot With Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's Commentary
After I watched the Preacher pilot last Sunday night, I was baffled to discover that AMC is already giving the show a week-long break, so its second episode won't actually air until June 5th. It took me all the way until today to realize that the reason behind this decision is because of Memorial Day this Monday; I'm guessing the network didn't want to compete with people maybe being out on vacation and being more concerned with BBQs than Sunday night television (though I guarantee all the Game of Thrones fans will find time to watch that this weekend...but that's a different beast because it's been popular for so long).
In any case, since there's no new episode of Preacher this Sunday, you have plenty of time to rewatch the first episode with commentary from executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who also directed that pilot episode. You'll have to visit this link to watch it.
The Actors Behind Classic Cartoon and Video Game Voices — Infographic
Here’s an interesting infographic that that breaks down all the actors who voice some of our favorite characters from cartoons and video games. The infographic comes from Fivesquid and this is the note that came along with it:
Cartoons and video games have some of the most memorable and recognisable characters in any media, but for the most part the people who actually bring these animations to life can go fairly unnoticed. Well, here at fivesquid we thought we would take a look through some of our favourite characters and have a gander at who exactly is behind the voices we love so much. From Dan Castellaneta, the man behind Homer Simpson and half of the other characters in the show, all the way to Nolan North & Troy Baker who combined, have probably played a part in pretty much every video game ever.
I’m a fan of most of the voice actors on this list, but a few of my favorites are Mark Hamill, Peter Cullen, Mel Blanc, and Dan Castellaneta.
CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Concept Art Shows Alternate Hawkeye Designs
Hawkeye would have looked a lot different had the filmmakers of Captain America: Civil War used these alternate designs that were created for the film. It seems the concept artist was keen on covering Jeremy Renner’s face. I actually think these designs look cool, especially the one with the mask and the red goggles. He looks a lot more badass, but I’m sure Renner likes to see his face on the big screen so they opted not to use this one. I also included alternate designs for Winter Soldier and Captain America. Detailed Set Photos of The Millennium Falcon From STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII
Some photos from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII have surfaced featuring incredibly cool detailed shots of the Millennium Falcon. The ship was found by a group of urban explorers who tracked down the location and posted the photos on Oblivion State. There was no filming going on at the location when they showed up, just a giant Millennium Falcon that they could play around in! How freakin’ awesome is that?! I want to go play with it!

Imgur user Khrisamisu has used his skills of awesomeness to create a series of Pokémon Gundam mechs that are simply incredible. If you feel like maybe there is something missing in your life, maybe these can fill that void.
These are custom-made figures that include a Charizard-inspired PM-006 called Charlie, a Blastoise-style PM-009 named Sheldon, and a Venusaur-based PM-003 named Petunia. He created them by sourcing parts from model kits of some of the most venerable Gundam mobile suits.

10 Hidden Subliminal Messages Put in Popular Movies
ScreenRant has released an interesting new video that list ten subliminal messages that are hidden in some popular films. Some of the films listed include Star Wars, The Shining, Aliens, The Matrix Reloaded, Captain America: The Winter Solider, and more.
The most effective methods to get ideas across in cinema are usually the subtlest ones. Rather than characters stating ideas on religion and social commentary through dialogue, these messages are better expressed through allegories, metaphors, and symbols that infer subliminal meanings in the viewer. Here are 10 Secret Subliminal Messages In Famous Movies.
Thought-Provoking STAR WARS Fan Art: “The Fool Who Follows Him”
Artist Dan Hipp just blew my mind with his latest Star Wars illustration. It’s called “Some Damn Fool Idealistic Crusade.” That title is taken from a quote from Obi-Wan Kenobi in A New Hope when he says to Luke:
“I have something here for you. Your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough, but your uncle wouldn't allow it. He feared you might follow old Obi-Wan on some damn fool idealistic crusade like your father did.”
The art lays out the differences of who Darth Vader was and who Kylo Ren is and it answers the question raised by Obi-Wan, “Who’s more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?”
This is a powerful piece of art that hit me in the gut. I had never thought of it this way before.
Watch Tony Hawk Try to Skateboard in Zero Gravity
"You have so many ideas, but once you're weightless, you forget what to do."
Tony Hawk is one of the greatest and most talented athletes in the world of skateboarding. He's pulled off some insane tricks in his day including landing the first 900 during an X-Games competition. In a recent promo video released by Sony, Hawk and pro-skater Aaron “Jaws” Homoki attempt to pull off some skateboarding tricks in zero gravity and it's pretty damn funny. I'm surprised that no one threw up!
The Joker and Iron Man Mashup Action Figure
Samwok Workshop has created another incredible custom-made action figure. This one mashes together Hoy Toys' Iron Man Mark V armor with the look of The Joker. I love how this one turned out. It has a very cool and sinister look. That doesn’t look like a Joker that Batman would want to mess with.
You can see some of their previous work at the following links: Tron Iron Man; Iron Man Alien Xenomorph; Buzz Lightyear and Iron Man; and Batman and Deadpool Iron Man figures.
New GHOSTBUSTERS Trailer Recut with Music From The Original Film
A fan made trailer has been released for the upcoming Ghostbusters film and it’s kind of improved by using music from the original movie. The video was created by Theme Park Monsters and it features song such as 'Savin' the Day' and 'It's Magic.' The music works pretty well and adds a nostalgic element to the movie that none of the other trailers have. The creator of the video included the following note:
"After all the controversy surrounding the Ghostbusters trailers i decided to make my own using some of the classic songs from the original. Maybe this will have more chance of pleasing the die hards.:
I doubt this trailer will make any haters of the upcoming film change their minds about it, but it’s still interesting to see some of the elements of the classic film implemented into the new one. Check it out!
Police Officer Replaces Kid’s Stolen Pokemon Cards With His Own Collection
Cops have been getting a lot of hate over the past few years, but just because there are a few bad apples in the bunch doesn't mean they are all bad. Many of them are out there dedicated to making their communities a better and safer place.
In Cleveland, Ohio, a boy named Bryce was walking to a friend's house to play Pokemon when his whole collection of cards was snatched right out of his hands and stolen. How shitty is that? Bryce’s mom called the police and the police got them back from another kid in the neighborhood. Not all of the cards were there, though. Some of them were missing. That's when officer James Grotenrath stepped up to the plate and gave his own collection of Pokemon cards to Bryce, including a very rare card that was the crowning card of the collection. Bryce explained:
“There’s only about 10 of these in the world and I have one of them.”
Officer Grotenrath is only 26 years old, so of course he’s old enough to be a Pokemon geek. The officer said:
“I grew up with Pokémon. I loved Pokémon as a kid and I would be heartbroken too if my cards were taken from me.”
As for the rare card, Grotenrath says:
“It’s a priceless item, but it’s better to see someone else smile, and in my book, like my partner says, it’s just happy to see a citizen smile instead of always frowning upon us and looking the other way.”
It’s stuff like this that shows the humanity and selflessness of people. These are people who help make the world a better place and help inspire hope in the world.

Chilling New CONJURING 2 Featurette Lets You Listen to Actual Possession Recordings
Warner Bros. has released a new featurette for The Conjuring 2 that might actually send chills down your spine. The video reportedly contains actual audio that was recorded by Lorraine and Ed Warren of Janet Hodgson, who was possessed by an evil spirit. The video isn’t very long, but it’s incredibly haunting and strange to listen to. This kind of stuff has always fascinated me, and it’s pretty cool that these recordings are being allowed to be shared with the public to help promote James Wan's horror film.
The Conjuring 2 brings to the screen another real case from the files of renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. Reprising their roles, Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.
The Conjuring 2 arrives in theaters on June 10th. I can’t wait to see this movie!

Learn How to Make a Cheese Ball Machine Gun!
Who wants a cheese ball machine gun!? I know I do! NightHawkInLight has released a video showing us how we can make one and it seems the main ingredient is a leaf blower. I’d sure have a lot of fun with this thing. I’d shoot cheese balls at people all day long.
Cheese Ball Machine Gun. What more can I say?
This project was the result of a viewer request I received more than six months ago. I tried a few different designs in that time until I landed on this one using a leaf blower.
Watch Terry Gilliam’s Presentation of THE MAN WHO KILLED DON QUIXOTE at Cannes
After years of failed attempts to make The Man Who Killed Don Quixote, it looks like Terry Gilliam is finally going to get it done. Gilliam’s involvement with this project is the perfect example of how to never give up on something you are extremely passionate about. The visionary filmmaker recently cast Adam Driver and Michael Palin in the film, and if everything goes as planned, the movie will actually get made this time.
Gilliam is confident enough in the film happening this time around that he went to the Cannes Film Festival to officially announce that it’s in development and he even had a presentation in which he and producer Paulo Branco talk about the film. You can watch that below.
If you’ve been following the development of this film project as closely as I have, this is something you’ll want to take the time to check out.
Explore Strange New Woods in This STAR TREK Shuttlecraft Concept Tent
This Star Trek shuttlecraft tent is an amazing concept created by Dave Delisle of Dave’s Geeky Ideas. I never knew how much I wanted this in my life until I saw it. According to the creator, the tent serves as a reference to Star Trek V, which started with Kirk, Spock, and McCoy camping at Yosemite National Park.
On top of the cool look, it would also come with two plastic thrusters which combine and form a carrying case for the tent. I don’t know why this doesn’t exist yet, but it really needs to! I’d just set it up at home so my kids and I could play in it.
