I love the X-Files franchise, and I want to see another movie. Hell! I want to see more than just one! This franchise isn't dead, it just needs to be revived. There's got to be a smart studio executive/producer over at FOX that can breathe life back into this incredibly badass sci-fi franchise! It could be a hell of a lot better than the Die Hard movies that Fox has been farting out recently.
David Duchovny showed up on Jay Leno last night, and when asked about the franchise and the possibility of a third movie he said,
We always want to. Chris Carter and Gillian Anderson and I, we're always on board.
He then went on to encourage fans to start a letter-writing campaign to the studio to make it happen, and says that he'll play Fox Mulder forever!
You want to write Fox and get 'em going…, You could wheel me [out]. I'll play Fox Mulder forever.
So let FOX know you want this movie to happen! I think it's so awesome that he loves the character so much that he's willing to play him forever! Come on on FOX! Someone over there has got to be smart enough to let these guys make another movie! As a huge fan of the series I'd at least like to see three more films to close it all up, but if you wanted to make more I wouldn't complain! All of the talent wants to do it, so let them do it!
Here are the clips from Jay Leno, one of which includes J.B. Smoove telling his experience of having a close encounter.
