Though his past few live-action movies haven't connected with audiences - Jack & Jill and That's My Boy - last month, Adam Sandler caught a break with his sophomore animated feature, Hotel Transylvania as the voice of the overprotective Count Dracula. However, his next film, Grown Ups 2 will be the last he does with long-time distribution partner Sony Pictures. The reason for his departure is being linked to Sony saving up for Ghostbusters III. He will be moving to Paramount Pictures with his newest project, a Western comedy called Ridiculous 6.
The title is an obvious parody of the famous Western film, The Magnificent Seven (itself a literal Westernization of Seven Samurai). From the sound of it, it looks like we are about to get yet another ensemble comedy from Sandler and his Happy Madison friends. Sandler has dabbled in being a cowboy in one of his previous films, Walt Disney Pictures' Bedtime Stories. Is he ready to saddle up again or should he hang up his hat?
