FOX went out and hired Mark Bomback to write the script for director Matt Reeve's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Bomback has worked on several high profile film projects in his career such as Live Free or Die Hard, Unstoppable, Total Recall, The Wolverine and even the 24 movie that will eventually happen.
Bomback seems like he's a solid choice to script the sequel. I loved the first movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from where the first film left off. We know that it will continue the story of Caesar and his rise to power over the humans. Andy Serkis will return to reprise his role as Caesar, and Fox is set to release it on May 23rd, 2014.
