Back in 2004 Thomas Jane played Frank Castle in The Punisher, and to this day it's still the best Punisher movie that's been made. It didn't do very well at the box office, but another film was later made that wasn't as good. I thought Jane made a great Punisher, and now he's back!
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, Jane debuted a badass short Punisher film that he made with none other than Ron Perlman called Dirty Laundry. Here's what he had to say about the short...
I wanted to make a fan film for a character I've always loved and believed in - a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It's been a blast to be a part of from start to finish -- we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.
Some might think that he made the short to try and get another feature film made, with him back in the lead role. He was asked about this on Twitter and he replied saying,
Not pushing anything. Just a fan film from Friends of Frank.
The short turned out pretty damn awesome! I'll also point out that it's not safe for work, it's got bad language and some hardcore violence. You're going to enjoy this!
