Justin Timberlake is in talks to star in a new romantic dramedy called The Last Drop, in which he would play "a charming alcoholic who works as a restaurant critic for New York Magazine." He eventually falls for a young woman and realizes he has to overcome his self-destructive addiction in order to have a real chance with her.
The movie is set to be directed by Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist helmer Peter Sollett, from a Black List script written by Brandon and Phil Murphy. I remember the days I use to think it was ridiculous that Timberlake was being cast in movies, but the guy has turned into quite a good actor, and I've been enjoying the recent films that he's starred in. His most recent movie was Trouble With the Curve in which he starred along side Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams.
I enjoyed Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist and I think this could turn out to be a solid movie. I wonder who they're looking at for the female lead.
