Jesse Olwen has created a series of beautiful stained glass windows inspired by some classic comic book heroes. The characters include Batman, Wolverine, Spawn, and Cyclops. I don’t really know anything about what it takes to make a stained glass window like these, but these are great and I’m impressed Olwen’s skills. 25" x 16" I had actually drawn up the pattern for this panel just before meeting to discuss the portrait windows for Parliament, I put this project aside for more than a year. It feels really good to finally complete it. I just LOVE that glass that's used for the flames, it looks even better without light coming from behind. Here's a "study" I did towards a series of stained glass comic book windows I plan to do. Wolvie was loving handpainted. Each piece went in the kiln numerous times. This piece is 19" x 16" and I plan to build a nice frame for it once the weather warms up a bit.
