Jason Batemen is mostly known for his comedic roles in films like Horrible Bosses, The Switch, and The Change-Up. But this trailer for his new film Disconnect shows us a different, more dramatic side of Bateman that we don't really see that much of.
The movie is a suspense thriller, and it comes from Murderball director Henry Alex Rubin. It actually looks like a pretty good movie. There's several storylines that intertwine with each other that deal with privacy and sexual situations, it looks pretty intense. The movie also stars Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Michael Nyqvist, Paula Patton, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgard, and Max Thieriot. Here's the synopsis:
The story follows a hard-working lawyer, who attached to his cell phone, can’t find the time to communicate with his family. A couple is drawn into a dangerous situation when their secrets are exposed online. A widowed ex-cop struggles to raise a mischievous son who cyber-bullies a classmate. An ambitious journalist sees a career-making story in a teen that performs on an adult-only site. They are strangers, neighbors and colleagues and their stories collide in this riveting dramatic thriller about ordinary people struggling to connect in today’s wired world.
Disconnect opens on April 12th, 2013. Check out the trailer and hit us up with your thoughts!
