Let Me In star Kodi Smit-McPhee has been cast in the lead roles in 20th Century Fox‘s Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes. Let Me In director Matt Reeves is attached to direct the movie, and Zero Dark Thirty's Jason Clarke is also set to star in the film along with Andy Serkis.
The movie is set 15 years after the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes. They also reveal that one part of the story will focus on a "group of human scientists who are struggling to survive alone in San Francisco." The other part of the story will center on "the struggle of intelligent ape Caesar to maintain dominance over his kingdom."
Smit-McPhee is currently filming The Young Ones with Nicholas Hoult, Elle Fanning, and Michael Shannon. Smit-McPhee also voiced the title character in the Oscar-nominated animated feature ParaNorman, and he starred in The Road. He's a solid young actor that I'm sure will be great. There's no word on who he'll be playing in the film.
