Warner Bros. is moving forward with Zombieland director Ruben Fleischer's big screen adaptation of the classic video game Spy Hunter! They've just hired Carter Blanchard to write the latest script for the film. He's not the first guy to take a crack at it. The studio has been trying to get this movie made for years. It's passed through the hands of John Woo, Dwayne Johnson, and Paul W.S. Anderson.
The story follows a highly trained spy whose job it is to eliminate rogue agents when they become liabilities to their governments. He travels in the G-6155 Interceptor, a sports car tricked out with an array of weapons that frequently is challenged by enemy vehicles.
I think Fleischer is a great choice to take on this franchise. I've enjoyed the films that he's made so far, and I'm intrigued by his idea of turning it into the American James Bond franchise. I'm excited to see how this movie turns out!
