Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables) is the latest actress to join Seth MacFarlane's upcoming new western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West. She's currently in negotiations to star alongside MacFarlane and Charlize Theron.
The comedy has been described as a Blazing Saddles-style comedy that will include contemporary humor, "with one undercurrent being just how dangerous and painful life really was in the late 1800s."
The story follows a sheepish farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend leave him. When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer at first sees a chance to win back his love but slowly falls for the woman. Complications ensue when the outlaw returns and reclaims his woman.
MacFarlane is a funny guy, I've enjoyed most of what he's created so far, and I'm looking forward to seeing what exactly he has planned for this western.
