I don't know about you, but I'm still riding off the high on the news that J.J. Abrams is directing Star Wars: Episode VII. I didn't even think he was in the running after he was so adamant about not wanting to direct the movie. His tone has certainly changed, as he's now excited to start working on it. In a recent interview with E! Online the director said,
It really is an incredible thing, It's wildly surreal. It's obviously way too early to talk specifics, but I'm excited to actually start it.
He then went on to tell The Huffington Post what he wants to do,
I can just say what I want to do: I want to do the fans proud. I want to make sure the story is something that touches people. And we're just getting started. I'm very excited.
There's no doubt in my mind now that we're going to get the best possible Star Wars movie. After all it's being made by a huge Star Wars fan, for the Star Wars fans. In all honesty it's very possible that the next Star Wars film could be one of the best Star Wars films ever made. Do you think that's possible?
