As we prepare for the Sundance Film Festival this week, an intriguing new full trailer has been released for Shane Carruth's Upstream Color, which is set to premiere at the festival. Carruth is the same director that made the great time travel thriller Primer.
The movie follows a man and woman who are drawn together, "entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives." Apparently the main female character is abducted and brainwashed by an organic material harvested from a specific flower.
I'm not going to pretend to know what the hell is going on in this trailer, but it's definitely sparked my interest, and I plan on checking it out up at Sundance, so stay tuned for our review! The movie is set to hit theaters on April 5th, 2013. Watch the trailer for yourself and let us know what you think!
