Sacha Baron Cohen has sold a comedy movie pitch to Paramount Pictures that will spoof super slick spy James Bond. The film has not been titled yet, but according to Variety the story follows a James Bond-like spy forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother, a moronic soccer hooligan. The report goes on to make a note that "while the spy is expected to bear a resemblance to 007, it won't be Bond."
We can expect to see Baron Cohen in one of the two lead roles. After all, he's starred in every movie that he's written and produced. He will write the film along side Phil Johnston.
There's been several spy spoofs that have been made over the years, Austin Powers probably being the best known. Baron Cohen's sense of humor is hit and miss for me, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he's planning for this one. Do you enjoy the actor's films and comedy style?
